Welcome to the POS Sales Australia website, operated by Rastogi Holdings Pty Ltd ATF Rastogi Family Trust (ABN: 92 253 658 709). POS Sales Australia is an online retailer of point-of-sale hardware and related products. By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out below.
POS Sales Australia is a purely online store. No physical location is available for customers to visit.
Changes to These Terms
POS Sales Australia reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication to this website. Your continued use of the website following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Amendments do not affect orders placed prior to the date of change.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rastogi Holdings Pty Ltd excludes all liability for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, arising from the use of this website or the purchase of products.
Our total liability for any single transaction will not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant goods.
Nothing in this clause limits any rights you hold under the Australian Consumer Law.
Limitation Where Liability Cannot Be Excluded
Where Rastogi Holdings Pty Ltd is unable to exclude liability for a breach of any condition, warranty, or guarantee implied by statute, our liability is limited to one or more of the following remedies, at our election:
- The replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods;
- The repair of the goods;
- The payment of the cost of replacing the goods or acquiring equivalent goods; or
- The payment of the cost of having the goods repaired.
Warranty Claims
All products sold by POS Sales Australia are covered by a Return to Base (RTB) warranty for the period specified on the product listing, unless stated otherwise. Under a Return to Base warranty, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the shipping of the product to POS Sales Australia or the nominated service centre for assessment and repair.
Before returning any item under warranty, customers must contact POS Sales Australia to obtain a Return Authority (RA) number and receive instructions on the correct returns process. Items returned without a valid RA number will not be accepted.
Loan or Replacement During Repairs
POS Sales Australia does not provide a loan, temporary, or replacement product while a warranty repair or assessment is being undertaken. Customers should make their own arrangements for any business continuity needs during this period.
Return Shipping After Assessment
Once a warranty assessment has been completed, the following applies:
- Fault confirmed and repaired or replaced under warranty: POS Sales Australia will bear the cost of returning the item to the customer.
- No fault found, or fault is not covered under warranty: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. POS Sales Australia will advise the customer of the applicable charges before the item is returned.
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modification, failure to follow product instructions, or normal wear and tear. Warranty periods and coverage may vary by brand or product — please refer to the individual product listing or contact us for details.
Please note that consumable products — including paper rolls, labels, ribbons, ink cartridges, and batteries — are excluded from warranty coverage. See the No Refunds on Consumables section for full details.
Nothing in this clause limits any rights you hold under the Australian Consumer Law.
Dead on Arrival (DOA) Claims
If a product is received in a non-functional or damaged condition, a Dead on Arrival claim must be lodged with POS Sales Australia within 7 days of receiving the item. Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted.
To be eligible for a DOA claim, the item must be unused and in its original packaging. Customers must contact POS Sales Australia to obtain a Return Authority (RA) number before returning any item. Upon assessment, if the item is confirmed as Dead on Arrival, POS Sales Australia will offer a replacement, repair, or refund at its election.
Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Returns Policy
Please choose products carefully and confirm compatibility before purchasing. All return requests must be made within 7 days of receiving the goods and require prior approval from POS Sales Australia. Customers must complete a Return Authority (RA) form before returning any item — goods sent back without a valid RA will not be accepted.
Approved change-of-mind returns must be unopened, unused, and in original packaging. A 20% Re-Stocking Fee applies to all approved refunds. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
The following items are non-returnable except as required by law: consumables (paper rolls, labels, ribbons, ink cartridges, batteries), ID Card Printers and their accessories, and any opened or used items.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, or fail to meet a consumer guarantee.
No Refunds on Consumables
Consumable products — including paper rolls, thermal labels, ink ribbons, ink cartridges, and batteries — are non-refundable once dispatched. Please confirm compatibility with your equipment before ordering.
Consumable products are also excluded from warranty coverage. Due to their consumable nature, these items are not covered by any warranty, whether express or implied, beyond what is required under the Australian Consumer Law. If a consumable product is received in a defective or damaged condition, please contact us within 7 days of receipt.
This does not affect any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law where goods are faulty, not as described, or fail to meet a consumer guarantee.
Order Cancellation
Orders may be cancelled without penalty within 30 minutes of placement, provided the order has not yet been dispatched. To cancel, please contact us immediately by phone or email with your order details.
Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. In such cases, customers may instead initiate a return in accordance with our Returns Policy, subject to applicable conditions and the 20% Re-Stocking Fee.
Special and Custom Orders
Orders for items that are specially ordered or custom manufactured to the customer's requirements cannot be cancelled once placed, regardless of dispatch status. These items are procured or produced exclusively for the specific order and are therefore non-refundable and non-returnable, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law. Where an item is a special or custom order, this will be clearly indicated on the product listing or confirmed to the customer at the time of ordering.
Any refund for an approved standard cancellation will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Shipping
Shipping charges displayed at checkout represent the standard cost for most Australian metropolitan locations. In some cases, additional charges may apply depending on the size, weight, or destination of the order. Where this occurs, POS Sales Australia will contact the customer prior to dispatch to advise of the additional cost. The customer may choose to accept the revised shipping charge or cancel the order for a full refund.
Remote Locations
Some locations are classified as remote or regional by our shipping carriers, which may result in additional freight charges not reflected at checkout. POS Sales Australia will notify customers of any such additional costs before processing their order.
POS Sales Australia reserves the right to decline orders for remote locations where standard shipping rates cannot be applied. In such cases, the customer will be contacted and offered either an adjusted shipping quote or a full refund. We do not ship to Norfolk Island, King Island, or other islands outside the standard Australia Post delivery network.

Debt Collection
In the event that a customer defaults on payment, POS Sales Australia reserves the right to refer the outstanding amount to a third-party debt collection agency. POS Sales Australia will make reasonable attempts to contact the customer regarding overdue amounts before referring the account for collection.
Where the overdue account is referred to a debt collection agency, the applicable collection fees and any costs incurred will be added to the outstanding balance and are payable by the customer.
If the overdue account is referred to a solicitor for recovery, all reasonable legal costs incurred will be added to the outstanding balance and are payable by the customer.

Force Majeure
POS Sales Australia will not be liable for any delay or failure to fulfil an order where such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, extreme weather events, industrial action, carrier or logistics disruptions, supply chain delays, government restrictions, or any other event that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented.
In the event of a force majeure delay, POS Sales Australia will notify the customer as soon as reasonably practicable and will make reasonable efforts to fulfil the order within the shortest possible timeframe. If the delay is expected to be significant and the customer no longer wishes to proceed, the order may be cancelled and a full refund issued.
Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, without limiting any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable federal legislation.
Severability

Currency
All prices on this website are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Prices include GST unless otherwise stated. POS Sales Australia reserves the right to adjust pricing at any time without prior notice, except in relation to confirmed orders already placed.
Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have it rectified within a reasonable time or, if this is not done, to a refund. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy afforded by the Australian Consumer Law.
