Will it run my POS software?
The 455 ships with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, so it runs standard Windows-based POS applications, and it also supports Windows 10 IoT, Linux and Android 13. Because some cloud POS platforms certify only specific hardware, confirm against your POS provider's supported list, or call our team on 1300 026 062 before you buy.
What resolution is the screen?
The 15.1-inch panel is a 1024 x 768 (XGA, 4:3) projected-capacitive touchscreen at 350 nits. That is a well-proven format for POS software and on-screen buttons. If you need a Full HD widescreen instead, ask us about the 455W range.
What can I connect to it?
It has a full POS I/O set: two USB-A 3.0 and four USB-A 2.0 ports, a full-function USB-C port, three powered RS232 serial ports (0/5/12V selectable), an RJ45 LAN port, an RJ11 cash-drawer port and two miniDP outputs for a main and second display, enough to run a receipt printer, scanner, cash drawer and customer display directly.
Can I add a customer display or card reader?
Yes. The 455 is modular and supports a second customer display and an MSR module, and the proprietary miniDP outputs drive a second screen. Let us know what you need and we will configure it.
