The Element HE276 answers a problem most venues eventually hit: the queue is at the counter but the customer is not. It is a 2 in 1, an 11.6 inch Full HD Windows tablet that locks magnetically into a powered docking stand. Docked, it is an ordinary fixed terminal with serial ports, Ethernet and a cash drawer port behind it. Lifted off, it is a Windows POS you can carry to the table, the aisle or the queue, running on its own 7000 mAh battery. The screen rotates, so a customer can sign or tap without the terminal being turned around.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the tablet away from the stand?
Yes, that is the whole idea. It has its own 3.85V 7000 mAh battery and Wi-Fi, so undocked it keeps running your Windows POS wherever you take it. What it loses while undocked are the stand's ports: the serial connections, the wired Ethernet and the cash drawer trigger all live on the stand, so a drawer will only open when the tablet is docked.
How does it charge?
Through the stand. The 120W 19V supply feeds the dock and the dock charges the tablet. It is worth planning around: the stand is not an accessory you can set aside, it is the charger. If you want a second charging point, for example one at the counter and one in the back office, talk to us about a second stand.
Does it have a barcode scanner built in?
Not on this part number. An in built 2D scanner is available across the He27X series, along with MSR, iButton, fingerprint reader, RFID and a rear 5MP camera, but TTETHE27X014 is the HE276 with the basic stand and none of those fitted. You can pair a Bluetooth or USB scanner with it, or we can quote the built in option before you order.
Is it a real Windows PC or a companion tablet?
A real one. Intel Celeron J6412, 8GB of DDR4, 128GB of storage and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 24H2 Entry pre installed. It runs the same Windows POS software your counter machines run, which is the point of choosing it over an Android tablet: there is one software stack, not two.
What ports does the stand give me?
1 x USB 2.0 Type-C, 3 x USB 2.0, a powered USB supplying 12V and 24V, 2 x DB9 serial, 1 x RJ45 Ethernet, 1 x RJ11 for the cash drawer and a 4 pin connector. The powered USB is the useful one if you are running a receipt printer that takes its power from the terminal. The tablet itself carries 1 x USB 3.0 Type-C and a DC jack.
What is the screen like for customer facing use?
11.6 inch at 1920 x 1080 and 300 nits, with P-CAP multi touch, and the screen rotates so you can turn it to the customer for a signature, a tip prompt or a loyalty sign up without moving the whole device. 300 nits is brighter than the K22 panel range and comfortable indoors.
What wireless does it have?
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0 + LE. Note that is Wi-Fi 5 rather than Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 4.0 rather than 5.x, which is worth knowing if you are standardising on newer wireless or pairing modern Bluetooth peripherals. For normal POS traffic it is not a limitation.
