The whole till in one housing: operator screen, customer screen and an 80mm receipt printer, on one power lead.

A normal counter is four devices and four cables: a computer, an operator screen, a customer display and a receipt printer. This part number is all four in one housing. The iMin Swan 2 with the built in 80mm printer gives you a 15.6 inch operator touchscreen, a 10.1 inch HD touch display facing the customer and the receipt printer inside the unit, running from a single 24V supply. For a small counter, a takeaway window or a kiosk position where space is the binding constraint, that is the argument.
The platform is the same current Android machine as the rest of the Swan 2 range: Android 13, 64 bit, with Google Mobile Services, an octa core Arm Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.4. The port set is unchanged too, so folding the printer inside costs you nothing in connectivity: five USB-A ports, USB-C, HDMI, gigabit Ethernet, an RJ12 cash drawer port and an RJ11 are all still there for a scanner, a drawer and a pin pad.
One terminal instead of four devicesThis part number puts the computer, the operator screen, the customer display and an 80mm thermal receipt printer in a single housing running from one 24V supply. Against a standard terminal plus a separate printer that is one footprint instead of two, one power outlet instead of two, no USB or serial cable between them to come loose, and one warranty covering the lot. On a small counter, a takeaway window or a kiosk position, that is usually the whole argument. Call POS Sales on 1300 026 062 and we will quote it with rolls and a drawer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the printer really built in, or is it a bolt on?
Built in. This is the Swan 2 printer build, a single housing containing the computer, the operator screen, the customer display and an 80mm thermal receipt printer. That is the reason to choose it over the standard Swan 2 plus a separate printer: one footprint, one power lead and one thing to install.
What paper does it take?
80mm thermal receipt rolls, the standard Australian receipt width and the same paper your existing 80mm printers use. We stock it, so ask us to put rolls on the order and the terminal arrives ready to trade.
Does it do everything the standard Swan 2 does?
Yes. Same octa core Arm Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz, same 4GB and 64GB, same Android 13 with Google Mobile Services, same Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, same 10.1 inch HD touch customer display, and the same port set of five USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, gigabit Ethernet, RJ12 and RJ11. Folding the printer in costs you nothing in connectivity.
Can I run it on a wired network instead of Wi-Fi?
Yes. There is a 1000M Ethernet port alongside the Wi-Fi 6 radio. For a terminal with the receipt printer built in, a cable is often the better choice: the printer is only as reliable as the connection feeding it, and a wired till is immune to the access point congestion that builds up in a venue full of staff and customer phones. Wi-Fi 6 is there as the fallback or for a position you cannot cable.
Do I have to take the customer display?
On this part number, yes, it is the dual display build. The Swan 2 is also made in a single display configuration, and with a 15.6 inch second screen instead of the 10.1 inch one, so if a customer facing screen is not wanted or needs to be larger we can order the matching build instead. For most counters the 10.1 inch touch display earns its place, since it can take a signature or a tip rather than only showing a total.
Can I still run a cash drawer?
Yes, through the RJ12 port, which is the standard way a drawer is triggered from a POS terminal. The drawer itself is not included; we can quote one with the terminal so the kick cable and the port match.
Is it worth the step up from the printerless model?
The difference is $375. Against that, a decent standalone 80mm thermal printer plus its power supply and cable is usually a similar amount, and it takes counter space and another outlet. So if you need a printer at that position, the built in version is generally the better buy. If the position already has a printer, or prints to a kitchen printer elsewhere, save the money and take the standard Swan 2.
What warranty applies?
12 Months Return to Base, covering the terminal and the built in printer together, which is one of the quieter advantages of an integrated unit: one warranty and one place to send it.
