The Sunmi NT320 with integrated scanner folds three devices into one small cube. It prints 80 mm receipts, it prints labels, and it reads 1D and 2D barcodes through a scan window in its own front panel. On a counter where space and cable runs are tight, that is a handheld scanner and its cradle gone.
A single USB-C lead supplies both power and data at 5V/2A, so there is no mains adapter, and a wired Ethernet port is there for fixed installations. The whole unit is 130 x 140 x 145 mm and weighs 875 g.
The scanner is the point of this build
Sunmi put the scan window on the customer-facing front of the printer, so staff read a code by presenting it rather than picking up a second device. Supported symbologies cover the usual 1D set, CODE128, CODE39, EAN13, CODABAR and GS1 DataBar among them, plus QR Code and PDF417 for 2D.
Typical fits: click-and-collect desks scanning order codes from phone screens, compact retail counters with no room for a scanner stand, markets and pop-ups where fewer cables means faster setup, and cafe collection points where the same box prints the docket and reads the pick-up code.
Two print jobs, one machine
Swap the media and the NT320 changes role. On 80 mm thermal rolls it produces ESC/POS receipts at up to 150 mm/s at 203 dpi. On die-cut label stock from 30 mm to 78 mm wide it produces TSPL labels up to 150 mm long, registered by a gap sensor. Venues that currently run a receipt printer beside a label printer can retire one of them.

Frequently asked questions
Do I still need a separate barcode scanner with this printer?
For most counters, no. The scan window is part of the printer's front face and reads both 1D and 2D codes, so a product barcode or a QR pick-up code on a customer's phone is read by the same box that prints the docket. That removes a handheld unit, its stand and its cable from the bench. Heavy scanning environments such as a supermarket lane will still want a dedicated scanner, but a collection desk, market stall or small retail counter generally will not.
Can it print sticky labels, not just receipts?
Yes. Load die-cut label stock between 30 mm and 78 mm wide and up to 150 mm long and the printer switches to TSPL label commands, using a gap sensor to find each label. Cup labels, bag seals, shelf tickets and address labels all come off the same unit that prints your 80 mm customer receipts.
Is there a power adapter in the box?
There is no mains adapter, and none is needed. The printer takes 5V at 2A through its USB-C socket, so the one cable that carries the print data also powers it. Fewer cables, no brick to mount under the counter, and one less thing to replace when it goes missing during a fit-out.
What connections does this build have?
USB-C and wired Ethernet, alongside the scanner. There is no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on this one. If the site has no data point or you print from tablets, order the
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth NT320 instead, which drops the scanner but adds wireless and cloud printing.
Does it suit my POS system?
It uses ESC/POS for receipts and TSPL for labels, the two most widely supported command sets, with Sunmi drivers for Windows, Android, iOS and Linux. Support does vary by platform, so confirm the model against your provider's hardware list or ring us on 1300 026 062 and we will check it against your setup first.
Will it open a cash drawer?
Yes, through the RJ12 kick-out port on the back. A standard cash drawer pops on sale completion, so the NT320 can be the main front-counter printer rather than a secondary device.
How much bench space does it need?
Very little for an 80 mm printer: 130 x 140 x 145 mm and 875 g, closer to a cube than the long slab most receipt printers occupy, and the case is built to stack. It also has a 1 W speaker that chimes on a new order, handy where the printer sits out of eyeline.
