Check your printer first: sticky rolls only run in linerless-capable printers such as the Epson TM-L90, Epson TM-L100 and Bixolon SRP-S300. A standard receipt printer has a rubber platen the adhesive will stick to, so it is not a drop-in replacement for plain receipt paper.

Already running the 38mm core roll? That one uses a stripe of adhesive and black mark sensing. A stripe-adhesive 80mm x 82m linerless roll is stocked if you need to match what is already in your printer.

Where Sticky Rolls Earn Their Keep

A printed docket that is not attached to anything gets separated from what it describes. Sticky rolls fix that at the source: the same 80mm printer you already run now produces a label instead of a slip, and it goes onto the item before it moves. In hospitality that keeps orders, allergens and modifiers with the bag. In retail it prints shelf edge tickets, markdowns and layby tags on demand. In a warehouse it marks picked cartons, totes and despatch satchels without a second printer or a sheet of labels.

Full coverage adhesive matters most on anything that is not flat. Coffee cups, round containers, clamshells, cold drink lids, curved satchels and shrink wrap are all surfaces where a centre stripe of glue lifts at the edges. Adhesive across the whole face keeps the label flat on a curve, and because it is removable, a container or tote can be cleaned and reused without scrubbing glue off it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What surfaces will it stick to?
Cardboard and cartons, plastic containers and lids, glass, coated board, satchels, shrink wrap and metal shelving all hold well. It is used on takeaway bags and containers, retail shelf edges, picked cartons and parcels. Porous surfaces such as raw timber, fabric or unsealed cardboard edges give a weaker bond.
Will it peel off something I want to reuse?
That is what the removable adhesive is for. It lifts off plastic, glass, metal and coated board without residue, so containers, totes, trays, shelf strips and returnable crates can go back into service without scraping. On fabric or unsealed cardboard it will tear rather than lift cleanly.
Is it safe to use around food?
The stock is made without BPA or silicone and is widely used on bags, takeaway containers, cup lids and pizza boxes. We do not hold a food contact certification for it, so apply it to the outside of packaging rather than directly onto unwrapped food.
Can I use it for date marking or chilled stock?
Yes, it suits fridge, cool room and chilled retail display, and removability makes relabelling straightforward. For deep freeze, apply the label before the item goes in: most adhesives, this one included, grab poorly on a surface that is already frozen and wet.
Does it work with my POS, ecommerce or delivery platform?
The 80mm width is the standard receipt width those systems print to, so the stock itself works with Square, Shopify, Lightspeed, delivery platforms and any other system driving an 80mm printer. The limitation is always the printer rather than the software: it has to be a linerless-capable model.
Do I need to change anything in the printer setup?
Usually not. The roll is continuous with no gap or black mark on the face, so a linerless printer treats it like receipt paper and cuts where your software tells it to. If your printer was previously set to black mark sensing for a different roll, switch that back to continuous.
How should I store them?
Keep rolls in their wrap, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources such as a grill, a fryer, a heater or a sunlit window. Direct thermal stock is heat sensitive, so a roll left somewhere warm can grey off before it is ever used.

Pick these when the printed docket needs to stay with the item and come off cleanly afterwards: delivery and takeaway bags, prep and date marking, shelf edge and markdown tickets, picked cartons, reusable containers and click-and-collect parcels. If you are labelling cartons that never get unstuck, a permanent roll costs less, and if the label has to survive months outdoors, it is thermal transfer you need rather than sticky receipt stock.
