The Bixolon SRP-Q300 is an 80mm direct thermal receipt printer built into a compact cube body for tablet-based and countertop point-of-sale setups where bench space is tight. This standard variant connects over USB and Ethernet, prints at up to 220 mm per second, and uses a front paper exit with an auto-cutter so receipts come out cleanly without reaching behind the unit. What paper does the SRP-Q300 use?
It uses standard 80mm (3") direct thermal receipt rolls, with a 72mm print width. There are no ribbons or ink to buy. We stock 80mm thermal rolls for it.
Does it have an auto-cutter?
Yes. The SRP-Q300 has a built-in auto-cutter and a front paper exit, so receipts are cut and presented automatically at the front of the unit.
Which interfaces does this model have?
This standard variant has USB and Ethernet. It does not include Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. If you need wireless pairing, look at the Bixolon SRP-Q300 B-Gate, which adds Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Can I connect a cash drawer?
The SRP-Q300 is designed for compact mPOS setups and uses its USB host capability for peripherals rather than a traditional rear drawer-kick port. If a cash drawer is essential to your setup, call us on 1300 026 062 and we will confirm the right connection or recommend an alternative.
Will it work with my POS software?
The SRP-Q300 uses ESC/POS commands and works with most POS systems, with SDKs and drivers for Android, iOS and Windows. Some cloud POS platforms (for example Square) only support specific printer models, so check your POS provider's supported-hardware list or call us on 1300 026 062 before you buy.
It will not print over USB, what should I check first?
Install the Bixolon driver before you connect the USB cable. Connecting first is the most common cause of a printer that powers on but will not print. Download the latest driver from Bixolon, install it, then plug in and add the printer.
Is it suitable for a networked, multi-till setup?
Yes. The built-in Ethernet port lets you put the SRP-Q300 on your store network and share it across multiple terminals, which is ideal for multi-register counters.
