What paper rolls does the SRP-Q300 use?
It uses standard 80mm (3") direct thermal receipt rolls, with a 72 mm print width. There is no ink or ribbon to buy. We recommend 80 x 80 mm thermal rolls.
How long does the battery last?
On a full charge the built-in battery prints up to around 10 rolls (about 600 m) of 80mm receipts, which is ideal for pop-ups, markets and brief untethered use. For all-day fixed use, keep it powered from the mains and the battery acts as a backup.
Does it have an auto-cutter?
Yes. The SRP-Q300 has a built-in auto-cutter with a front paper exit, so receipts are cleanly cut and presented at the front of the unit.
Which interfaces does this variant have?
This SKU (SRP-Q300BK/AUS) connects over USB and Ethernet. Note that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are not included on this variant. If you need wireless, look at the SRP-Q300 B-Gate model instead.
Do I need to install a driver before using USB?
For USB connections, install the Bixolon driver before you plug the printer in. Connecting first is the most common cause of a printer that will not print. Bixolon provides Windows, iOS and Android drivers and a full SDK suite.
Will it work with my POS software?
The SRP-Q300 is ESC/POS compatible and works with most POS systems. Some cloud POS platforms (for example Square) only support specific printer models, so check your POS provider's supported-hardware list or call us on 1300 026 062 before you buy.
Can it charge my tablet?
Yes. A built-in tablet charging port can power an iPad or Android tablet, so your tablet POS stays charged while it prints.
