What paper does the CMP-20II use?
It uses 58mm (2") direct thermal receipt rolls. There is no ink or ribbon: the heat-sensitive thermal paper is all you need. Drop the roll in, close the cover and tear off against the integral tear bar.
Does it work with iPhone, iPad and Android?
Yes. The CMP-20II is MFi-certified for iOS, so it pairs reliably with iPhone and iPad, and it also works with Android devices over Bluetooth. Pair it once in your device settings or directly from your POS app.
How do I pair it over Bluetooth?
Power the printer on, then add it as a Bluetooth device on your phone or tablet (or from within your POS app's printer setup). The LED indicator confirms power and pairing status. Make sure the battery is charged before first use.
How long does the battery last?
It runs on a long-life 2000mAh lithium-ion pack designed to cover a typical shift of mobile printing. An LED battery indicator shows charge level and an auto power-off helps conserve power between transactions. Recharge on board with the included AC adapter, or with an optional charging station.
How rugged is it?
The CMP-20II exceeds IP42 for dust and water resistance and survives multiple drops from 1.2 metres, so it stands up to delivery rounds, field work and the shop floor.
Does this model have a magnetic card reader?
No. This is the Bluetooth no-MSR variant (SKU CMP20IIBT, MPN CMP20IIBUXCX): it prints receipts but does not include the optional 3-track magnetic stripe reader.
Will it work with my POS software?
The CMP-20II supports ESC/POS and CPCL, so it works with most mobile point-of-sale systems. Some cloud POS platforms (for example Square) only support a specific list of hardware, so check your POS provider's supported-printer list first, or call us on 1300 026 062 and we'll confirm compatibility.
