What paper rolls does the CMP-30 use?
It uses 80mm (3") wide direct thermal paper rolls. There is no ribbon or ink. Match the roll diameter to the printer's media compartment and use thermal rolls, not bond paper.
Does it have a Wi-Fi connection?
Yes. This Wi-Fi variant (SKU CMP30WF) connects over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and also includes USB and serial (RS232) interfaces. Bluetooth is a separate factory option on the CMP-30 range and is not part of this Wi-Fi model.
How tough is it for field and warehouse use?
The CMP-30 is designed to survive repeated 1.2 m drops and exceeds an IP42 rating against dust and water ingress, so it stands up to daily mobile use on a belt clip.
How long does the battery last?

Will it work with my POS software?
The CMP-30 is ESC/POS compatible and works with most POS and mobile applications that support ESC/POS printing over Wi-Fi or USB. How do I set up the USB connection?
If you connect by USB, install the Citizen driver for the CMP-30 first and then plug in the printer. Connecting before installing the driver is the most common cause of a printer that will not print.
