The Q in RT-2015Q marks the pole mount configuration. It ships without a base, is meant to sit on a pole or a fitted stand, and keeps an easy access service panel in the back cover so a mounted terminal can still be opened where it hangs. This part number is the entry build at 4GB and 64GB.
Its best feature costs nothing extra: a 24V powered USB port. Plug a receipt printer into it and the printer draws power from the terminal, which is one adapter and one power point less under the counter. The rest is standard RT, a fanless die-cast aluminium chassis around a 15 inch projected capacitive screen at 1024 x 768 on an Intel J1900 quad core, with three RS232 ports, USB, LAN, VGA on a pin header, mini DisplayPort, a cash drawer port, a speaker port and an M.2 slot.

What does the 24V powered USB port actually do?
It powers a receipt printer from the terminal. One cable instead of two, and one less power point needed under the counter.
What is the difference between the RT-2015 and the RT-2015Q?
The Q is the pole mount build: no base, a service panel in the back cover and the 24V powered USB port. The standard RT-2015 has a slightly different port set and is not configured for a pole.
Is 64GB of storage enough?
For a till running one point of sale application on Windows 10 IoT, yes. If the terminal stores images or a long local transaction history, take the 128GB build in the table above.
Can it be serviced on the pole?
Yes, that is what the back cover access panel is for. The terminal does not have to come down for routine work.
